Wounded Warriors Helped With
The Pass It On Audio Postcard Campaign
Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund

There are thousands of US and other countries service personal stationed overseas, who, at this very moment, are putting their lives at risk to defend our freedom and way of life. What can we do to show support and offer help?

Music can help.  After all, songs have always been one way that support is shown; and now from Goodnight Kiss Music comes a new CD called "Rhythm of Honor," a collection of songs about soldiers and the emotions of conflict.

This CD is being launched in a unique way with a campaign called "Pass It On" which will offer one of the songs from the CD for free as a download to anyone who will simply "Pass It On" to their friends.

Paul Saunders, recently transplanted from ally England, creator of the campaign for Goodnight Kiss and founder of PKS Media explains, "Thousands of people will be receive an audio postcard enabling them to hear the song, 'A Soldier's Daughter,' from the RHYTHM OF HONOR CD, performed by Reb Robinson. This touching and heartfelt song is then offered to them as a free download for their i-Pod or for placing on a CD, if they will "
Pass It On" to 3 friends, spreading the campaign."

Janet Fisher of Goodnight Kiss Music explains this will allow the song to reach thousands of people, who all care and seek ways to support the troops overseas.  By choosing the
Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund for helping those recovering from service in Iraq and Afghanistan, as a beneficiary of sales, the CD and campaign will focus thousands of people on the efforts of the rehabilitation support system.

"Everyone who receives the audio postcard and listens to the song will then have an opportunity to purchase the RHYTHM OF HONOR CD; and from each sale a donation with be made to the Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund, an organization set up to bring direct support to troops seriously injured in the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan," says Janet. "There may be someone along the way who can really help them, in a bigger way than we can, who learns about it from our PIO campaign.  Then we've really done something!"

The song, "
A Soldier's Daughter," written by Debbie Iammarino, John Trentes, and Reb Robinson, and performed by Robinson,  is a crossover mix of rock/country and true singer/songwriter and appeals to a wide range of people. Others songs on the CD, performed by 11 different artists, are in a variety of musical genres, so there is something on the CD for everyone. As a part of the campaign Goodnight Kiss and PKS will be sending the CD to the many of the bases where our troops are stationed in Iraq, so that the troops can hear the songs too.

"We really hope that each person who hears about the Pass It On campaign will take the time to listen to the song and 'Pass It On' so that many more people can get the opportunity to become involved in the campaign right now, "says Saunders. "And, to those who do respond, thank you in advance for your support.

Your simple act is what will make this a huge campaign and make you a true hero to us and our recovering service persons in Fallujah. Please take a minute to simply 'Pass It On.'"

QUESTION: What does Goodnight Kiss and PKS Media get out of a campaign to give away a song for free? I thought you PROTECTED songwriters and their royalty rights.

From Janet Fisher:
Yes, I have spent many hours of my adult life fighting for intellectual property rights, and I always will. One of the rights is the right to donate or give one's music as a gift in certain situations. Sometimes, the gift comes back in the way of more CD sales, simply by presenting it to those who do appreciate great songs and artists. In this case, all of us are supporting not only the CD itself, but the fine efforts of the Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund.

If one person sends a care package, a CD, a box of toothbrushes, or even a note, to a service person recovering from severe injury, we have helped. If we alert a philanthropist along the way, who donates something of value that the hospital needs, we have really helped.

If we sell more RHYTHM OF HONOR CDs as a result of the campaign, then we have also helped -- not only by the donation from each album to the hospital, but by letting the public know that we support our individual service persons AS PEOPLE; that we are with them, and behind them, even if we do not support war as a general solution to problems. And if the music and songs on the CD can sow some support for those kids, then we have REALLY done our job!

The writers, Debbie Iammarino, John Trentes, and Reb Robinson (who also performs the song), have given their best talent AND their blessing for us to pass it on. Goodnight Kiss has given us their best with "RHYTHM OF HONOR," to pass along, also.

Won't you help the Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund and our efforts to show our musical support?

PLEASE Send an Audio Postcard and
PASS IT ON

Very sincerely,

Janet Fisher -

From Janet Fisher:
About RHYTHM OF HONOR and the PASS IT ON Campaign

From the beginning concept of this project, I wanted to give a portion of each RHYTHM OF HONOR sale to an organization that directly benefits an individual person in the Armed Forces, rather than to a large agency where we might not make that much difference by comparison. Via the DOD and VA websites, I found the Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund in Fallujah, run hands-on by Col. John Folsom. 95% of everything that goes to the WWHF goes directly to rehabilitation and transition for the injured. I wrote to Colonel Folsom, and received his blessings and encouragement to include the WWHF in this project.

Thanks to Paul Saunders, PKS Media, we were able to start the "Pass It On" campaign, giving a free download of one of our songs to raise awareness for our CD and the Wounded Warriors Hospitals.  The link is still here, should you want to Pass It On.

None of the people who worked so hard on this CD wants war. We do, however, support every one of our injured service persons and allies as worthy of help and tribute.

Thank you again, for buying the RHYTHM OF HONOR CD.
Most respectfully,

JANET FISHER
