Col. Folsom at Camp Fallujah

MILITARY APPLAUDS
JANET FISHER for
RHYTHM OF HONOR EFFORTS

A United States flag was flown for the entire day on Sept. 10, 2005, over Camp Fallujah, Iraq, in honor of Janet Fisher; and recently delivered to a very surprised same.

"I couldn't believe it," she said, still stunned with the impact of what she felt then and now.

"When I created the RHYTHM OF HONOR CD, I wanted to pay tribute to every man and woman giving their all in the military. The writers understood my vision, and we finished the CD. We also agreed to give a portion of all sales to the Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund, who gives 95% of it's funding directly to the comfort of the troops. 95%!

I never expected anything in return I just wanted to extend the usefulness of the album, I barely hoped to break even on the CDs, "Fisher laughs and continues, "But seriously, an honor like this has no price. It is irreplaceable, and I will treasure it among the most precious items that were ever given to me.

I went to my mailbox, and there was a package. I opened it, it contained a red, white and blue box. I opened that, and there was a letter from Col. John Folsom of the Wounded Warriors, along with my certificate from the US Department of the Navy, and the beautiful flag itself -- flown over Camp Fallujah. You know I started to cry, I couldn't help it. It was an honor that was overwhelming, as they do so much for me, and I so little for them by comparison.

So, I cherish this US flag on behalf of every caring person who worked on RHYTHM OF HONOR, and hope it inspires other American's to use their talents and intelligence to express their beliefs, whether they concur with my own, or not.

That's the true America that I know and want to protect -- freedom, free speech, a Constitution with original founders' intended rights, based on Judeo-Christian law, with a respect for God, each other, the planet, and mankind in general. At least, that is my own philosophy, I will gladly listen to yours."

OUR SOLDIER LETTERS:

My Names is PV2 Shockley, James. I joined the U.S. Army National Guard of Texas in November of 2007. I started my basic training in May of 2008 and I am just about done ith my A.I.T.

I recently found out that when I graduate A.I.T. I will have only a few days to spend ith my family before deploying to Iraq. I've only got to spend four days with my wife and boys in the past six months. I truely do miss them but it is what I'll do so others may live in peace with their families.

I joined at the young age of thirty-three and soon will be turning thirty-eight, Oct. 24. I have lived a great thirty-seven years and want to ensure that others can do the same. I have been married for fourteen years to a great woman and have an eighteen and a ten year old son.

I want to say that we soldiers do all that we do for our country, but there are alot of people behind the scenes that help us. I know for my self it is my lovely wife and boys. So for all the soldiers we thank, and believe me I thank them also, we need to thank those wives, mothers, brothers, fathers and anyone else who supports us. So I guess I am saying thank you to all who support us in what we do.

Again I would like to say it is my pleasure to do what I do for our country. It makes me proud to say, I Am An American Soldier.

We are sometimes caught dealing in generic phrases like "military action" or "defense plan," and we may forget that good men and women, not words, defend freedom. These people are fathers, aunts, cousins, younger, older, grumpy, funny, quiet and/or loud, just like you and me, except they offer their lives "on demand" to protect ours.

This CD is about them and their steadfast courage.

LETTERS:

My son is Sgt. Martin A. Gooch.

He is in Cuba right now and has been to Iraq previously. He has been gone every holiday for the last two years. He has four children.

He was absent at our Family picnic on the 4th of july this year. So, with all the Balloons that I had for the children we sent a dozen or so, hellium filled, with the words,"We love you, Sgt. Daddy, Happy Family Day Sgt.Daddy Gooch and We Miss you, Sgt. Daddy".

His baby girls are five and two yrs. of age and the little one wanted to know if Nanna and Poppy could tie a lot of balloons to her so she could go to where daddy was. I'm in tears thinking of that day.

Needless to say we didn't do that, But latter that day my son called from Cuba and I told him what I had done, so when he got on the phone with the girls he told them that he had gotten two fo the Love for Sgt Daddy Gooch balloons and was waiting for the rest.

Well, you know that the eldest little girl, Seianna who is five, wanted to know in detail how he rec'd the balloons. Daddy said a ship captain saw the balloons floating out over the sea and knew who he was and where he was and brought them directly to him. My grands thought about that for a moment and then Seianna said, Nanna that was fast, we've got to send daddy some food in the balloons next time.

Cds are on the way to Daddy AND Nanna!
Happy New Year!

MY NAME IS ANGELA D. BURGESS

I AM 25 YEARS OLD. I MARRIED A WONDERFUL MAN BY THE NAME OF MICHAEL O. BURGESS A LITTLE OVER A YEAR 1/2 AGO. BUT SHORTLY AFTER WE MARRIED IN AUGUST HE WAS THEN CALLED OUT OF INACTIVE DUTY TO FIGHT IN IRAQ FOR 12-18 MONTHES.

WE BOTH ARE NO STRANGERS TO THE WORD AND OUR LORD AND SAVOR JESUS CHRIST. BUT I MUST SAY THAT THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT TIMES IN MY LIFE (ESPECIALLY DOING THIS HOLIDAY SEASON).

TO MY SON AND I MY HUSBAND IS A HERO EVERYDAY OF HIS LIFE. NOT ONLY IS HE IN IRAQ SERVING HIS COUNTRY BUT HE ALSO IS A LOCAL POLICE OFFICER AND HE SERVES HIS COMMUNITY ASWELL. WE ARE COUNTING THE DAYS AND WE CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL WE ARE REUNITED AGAIN.

BUT, UNTIL THEN I WOULD LOVE FOR A SPECIAL GIFT TO BE SENT TO HIM FOR THE HOLIDAY. JUST TO REMIND HIM THAT HIS HARD WORK, LOVE AND CARE IS NOT IN VAIN.

Hello Angela,

God bless you and your wonderful husband. We would love to send you both a CD with our prayers and good wishes for the New Year. I will also post your letter on our site, so that others may honor you both with prayers of support.

Please send me the address for yourself and your husband, and we will rush our CDs out to you as soon as possible.

Have a wonderful holiday and may God bless you throughout the year.

"Dear Janet,
I am writing this concerning my husband he is overseas.  He is a great man that we hardly ever get to see cause he takes his job very serious and he will do and help any of his soldiers or not his soldiers if they
need it.

We have been together for 4 yrs and we have a 3 yr old son and he has not seen one of them birthdays nor been there for our anniversary.  But thats ok just as long as he comes home safe to us then thats all that matters.

And alot of his soliders are single and he went through alot of stuff to make sure that they get what they need while they are over there.  He is just an unselfish man and would make sure that his men eat before he would.

I just think he would be good for this cause he wouldnt keep it just for his self he would make sure everone got something!!  Thanks for listening!!

Mandy Cleghon"

We sent Mandy and her husband Christmas CDs with the song "Soldier Daddy" (by Derek Holt), and will send them both a copy of this CD when the project is concluded.

Press Release:

CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR NOMINATED SERVICEMEN

Inspired by the song, "Soldier Daddy," Janet Fisher, the owner of boutique record label Goodnight Kiss, had what she called a "Christmas idea." She will be sending free CDs of the song to various nominated service persons around the world.

October 28, Hollywood, CA -- Know a soldier, sailor, or Marine whom you admire? Or do you serve our country in such capacity? If so, you might receive a Christmas CD containing the song, "Soldier Daddy", delivered to you, anywhere in the world.

Inspired with the idea while listening to the song, Janet Fisher at Goodnight Kiss Records, wanted to share it with those who would identify with it most -- the persons in service to the U.S. or U.K., or any allied country.

"We wanted to give our soldiers a gift of music to showing how much we identify with their situations this year," said Fisher, "It's a time to know we all are together, even across wide distances. We are still with them and their families. 'Soldier Daddy' is like that."

Fisher believes that music is one of the great healers and communicators. "One remembers a song forever -- we cry to them, marry to them, and celebrate to them. I want to share that with anyone who is proud enough to tell us their story, so we might feel closer to that person as an individual, also."

To qualify for a nomination, all one has to do is list a short paragraph or two as to why one is serving, or why the nominee is being suggested. The online entry page is posted at:
http://www.goodnightkiss.com/soldier.html

Nomination information may also be obtained by sending an SASE to:

Goodnight Kiss SOLDIER
10153 1/2 Riverside Dr., #239
Toluca Lake, CA 91602

The nomination entries are free to all, and those awarded a CD will pay no shipping or handling charges. Fisher, who also has long-time, respectable songwriting and publishing credits, declares this song a gift of love.
